OV Production is a full-service film and aerial cinematography house founded by Octavian Visterniceanu. We tell stories from perspectives few ever see, combining over a decade of technical mastery with formal directorial expertise to create imagery that resonates.
Octavian — Aerial Cinematographer
A decade in the air, grounded in craft.
Octavian’s passion for the lens began in 2009. Starting in the high-pressure world of wedding cinematography, he developed a sharp eye for candid emotion and the technical agility required to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments. However, driven by a desire to push the boundaries of visual narrative, he transitioned from the ground to the sky and from the event to the academy.
In 2014, Octavian began experimenting with drone cinematography, recognizing early on that aerial movement could offer a "weightless" intimacy no other medium could match.In 2017, he graduated from the Film Academy in Film & TV Directing. His thesis film, "Prut"—a cinematic exploration of the Prut River—was a landmark project filmed entirely by drone. This work served as the bridge between his technical skill as a pilot and his vision as a director.
In 2019, Octavian relocated to Scotland, bringing this unique combination of "Drone Cinema" and formal directing to the UK’s rugged landscapes and creative industries.
