About
Telling stories from perspectives few ever see.
I capture the world from altitude — not just to show what's below, but to reveal the emotion, scale, and beauty that only distance and motion can express. Every flight is intentional. Every frame, considered.

Octavian — Aerial Cinematographer
A decade in the air, grounded in craft.
It started on a rooftop in 2013 with a camera and a prototype drone that barely held a signal. What began as curiosity quickly became obsession — the realisation that aerial movement could do something no other medium could: give the viewer a feeling of weightlessness, of god-like perspective, of intimacy from impossibly far away.
Over the years, that obsession evolved into a discipline. I studied cinematography formally, earned my CAA commercial drone licence, and spent thousands of hours refining not just my technical control of the aircraft, but my understanding of light, composition, and narrative rhythm. A drone is just a tool. The real skill is knowing what story you're telling before you take off.
Today I work with production companies, property developers, tourism boards, and independent filmmakers who share a commitment to quality. I don't do volume. I do work I'm proud to attach my name to — footage that earns its place in the edit and elevates everything around it.

Principles, not just process.
- 01
Intentional Framing
Every shot has a purpose. I don't circle a subject hoping something looks good. I plan movements around light, shadow, and the emotional beat the scene demands.
- 02
Technical Precision
Clean, smooth aerial footage demands mastery of speed, altitude, and gimbal control. Precision isn't a bonus — it's the baseline from which creative expression begins.
- 03
Collaborative Process
The best aerial work comes from understanding the director's vision, not just the brief. I come prepared, adapt quickly on location, and communicate clearly throughout.
Fully licensed. Extensively insured. Widely experienced.
I hold a CAA PfCO commercial drone operator certificate and carry full public liability insurance to £5 million, covering both urban and rural environments across the UK and select international locations.
My work has taken me from remote Scottish highlands and coastal cliff faces to city centre productions requiring full airspace permissions and coordination with local authorities. I handle all regulatory requirements, so you don't have to.
