Edinburgh Marathon

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF) is a landmark event in the UK’s running calendar, attracting thousands of participants to the historic streets of Scotland’s capital. Working with GSI Events LTD, we documented the race’s unique route, which blends iconic urban architecture with the natural beauty of the coast. This setting provides a perfect environment for high-end visual storytelling, allowing us to showcase the event’s atmosphere through a mix of ground-level filming and professional drone cinematography.

Multi-Location Coverage Across the Festival Weekend

Because the event spans two full days, our team had the necessary time and flexibility to film at multiple locations throughout the city and along the route. This allowed us to plan meticulously and capture a wide variety of angles, from the energy of the city start to the scenic shoreline finish. By utilizing our advanced drone operator qualifications, we safely captured immersive aerial perspectives of the crowds and runners. This extended timeframe ensured we could fully document the emotion and scale of the weekend, creating a cinematic record of the festival’s unique character.
